ROSWELL, Ga. – It's that time of the year again when Roswell's historic Canton Street transforms into an expansive, car-free urban oasis. Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 28, as 'Roswell Moves!' returns for its spectacular fifth edition. This innovative 'open streets' event, orchestrated by Bike Roswell! and strongly supported by the City of Roswell and our partners, including our sponsors, Top Job Beverage & Events and Visit Roswell, is set to redefine your Sunday fun.
Starting at 8 a.m., the day kicks off with the iconic Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride, now in its 22nd year. Cyclists can choose from routes of 18, 40 to 64 miles. Beginning at City Hall, riders will be lead out by new sponsor Regal INEOS Grenadier and ending on Canton Street with a great lunch. Simultaneously, Canton Street, stretching from Heart of Roswell Park to Woodstock Road, will be a vehicle-free zone from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., hosting a variety of activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. While there's a registration fee for the Mayor’s Ride, all other Roswell Moves! activities are free to enjoy.
Roswell Moves! Activities
Event Highlights:
- Roswell Moves! Activities: A dynamic mix of activities, demonstrations, and games promoting healthy lifestyles. Dance, jump, roll, stretch, twirl, and walk your way through the day. Enjoy live music on two stages by Mojo Vinyl and Rock ’N' Taco, and don’t forget the shopping, eating, and drinking!
- *New* Roswell Arts Fund Chalk Art: Watch as professional chalk artists brighten the day and the pavement with chalk murals along Canton Street in this new edition to the Roswell Moves experience. Grab a piece of chalk yourself and join in on the fun to create a community patchwork of color and help us show off Roswell’s creative side! Presented by Roswell Arts Fund, the Georgia Chalk Artist Guild and The Hagan Family Foundation.
- Family Bike Parade at 11 a.m.: Led by Bike Roswell!, it's a delightful spectacle for all ages and all types of pedal-powered vehicles.
- Historic Roswell Kiwanis Kids’ Bicycle Safety Rodeo (12-3 p.m.): A hands-on learning experience about cycling safety and bicycle handling skills, culminating in a fun obstacle course.
The Historic Roswell Kiwanis Kids’ Bicycle Safety Rodeo will take place on East Alley Pathway from 12-3 p.m. There is an organized "class" where children ages six to 12 learn about cycling safety and bicycle handling skills. Children must provide their own helmets and bicycles, which are inspected by the mechanics.

Live Music for Roswell Moves at the South end of Canton Street will be presented by Rock N' Taco! Come to ride, play and dance as music and people fill Canton street. A second stage at the North End of Canton Street is presented by MOJO VINYL! Live music from 12-3 PM during the event!
