Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride
Sunday, April 27, 2025
This year Bike Roswell! celebrates another anniversary of bicycle advocacy in the Roswell area! More than 400 riders will roll from City Hall with your Roswell Mayor and Council Members.
EARLY PACKET PICKUPS:
- FRI, April 25 6 PM – 8 PM Lucky’s Burger and Brew 1144 Alpharetta St., Roswell, GA 30075
- SAT, April 26 2 PM – 4 PM Roswell Bicycles 670 Houze Way, Roswell, GA 30076
ROUTES: 18-, 42- and 60-mile routes will parade down Canton Street before traveling rolling hills and flat sections as we tour the city of Roswell. Rest stops will be stocked with drinks and snacks. Pre-ride mechanical support will be provided. T-shirts will be given to all registered riders for the 18, 42 and 60-mile routes.
- 18-mile Challenge: The 18-miler avoids all the big climbs and heads north on Woodstock Rd. towards Sweet Apple and Saddle Creek. We have designed the route to be as easy as possible strain-wise and to avoid difficult turns as you enjoy road riding through some nice and relaxing subdivisions along the way. Rest stop #1 is located at mile marker 9 in the Sweet Apple Village before you head back through Edenwilde and Wexford subdivisions. The route ends on the north side of Canton Street next to Stout Brothers so you do not need to race down Canton Street with the crowds.

- 42-mile Workout: If you are more than a casual rider, consider tackling this challenge throughout Roswell. The route starts the same as the 18-miler, but at mile 10/Cagle Rd., it heads towards Mountain Park via Cox Rd. and attacks "The Sisters." Big Sister is in Mountain Park (mile 17), Middle Sister is in the Wildwood Springs subdivision (mile 19) and Little Sister is in the Waverly Hall subdivision (mile 21). After The Sisters, you will have rest stop #2 near Jones Rd. fire station (mile 23). From here the route takes you to Riverside Rd. for some flat miles and the Riverside Park rest stop (mile 29). But wait ... you still have Martins Landing subdivision with the steep Six Branches climb! (If you want to avoid this, you can bike to the end of Riverside and do a U-turn at Eves Road.) You can get to rest stop #3 a second time at mile 38 before heading back on Riverside, climbing out from the river through the subdivisions to get to Woodstock Rd. to finish the loop.

- 60-mile Metric Century: This one is for the really strong riders out there! We have updated the route to end on the south side of Canton Street to avoid the crowds on the road. This route does The Sisters and Six Branches like the 42-miler does but adds the “West Loop” from our Wednesday evening rides. The West Loop starts at the river on Willeo Rd. and heads through open roads and across Johnson Ferry to the Indian Hills subdivision. At the end of the Indian Hills loop, be ready for the Summit Dr. climb. It’s short but spicy, hitting a 12% grade (even if RWGPS claims 7%). From there you will enjoy a fast section on Lower Roswell Rd. back to the river to join the 42-mile loop again. Note that there is a fairly large distance of 23 miles between rest stop #2 (Jones Rd.) and rest stop #3 (Riverside Park), so we recommend you top off your water bottles.

This event has it all! Ride the fully supported ride in the morning, and reward yourself with food, beer and music at the post-ride luncheon. All proceeds from this ride support bicycle advocacy in Roswell through Bike Roswell!, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that advocates for safer cycling options for people of all ages and abilities in Roswell and Georgia!
