The Bike Roswell! Mission

Bike Roswell! advocates for a more bicycle-friendly Roswell.

Our Goals

Through our weekly and annual rides, Bike Roswell provides on-bike educational and riding opportunities. Our Bike Roswell Mayor’s Ride and Roswell Moves! events are annual Roswell spring traditions on the last Sunday in April that attract hundreds of riders and thousands of participants of all ages.

Seasonal ride events like our Bike and Beverage tours, Art Around Roswell Bike Tours, Riverside Sounds rides and our fall Ghost Tour provide fun and casual biking opportunities that highlight our historic riverfront community. Our weekly road cycling rides around Roswell encourage riders to get out and ride for fitness and sport while educating and encouraging proper cycling etiquette and safe riding techniques and skills.

In addition, our goal is to develop and implement a marketing campaign as a Bicycle Friendly Community, including an educational emphasis for both children and adults.

We collaborate with City departments such as Recreation and Parks and Transportation to make the use of bicycles an integral part of future planning. We work with Recreation and Parks to promote connectivity of area parks by bicycle paths, and with the Dept. of Transportation to develop a road striping policy to make existing and new roads safer for bicycles.

We compile comprehensive maps to define bike routes and bike-suitable roads for public distribution and use.  See our current map here!
